The Karen Teacher Working Group (KTWG) successfully held its 2026 Annual Meeting from February 4 to 6, bringing together staff from across all programs for reflection, learning, and strategic planning.
The three-day meeting focused on reviewing program implementation, operational progress, achievements, and challenges from the past year. Program teams presented key updates and lessons learned, including the Preservice Program, Inservice Program, Education Assistance Program, Emergency Response Program, Media and Advocacy, and Finance. The Program Support Team also shared how they strengthened coordination and supported program delivery.
In addition to program updates, KTWG reinforced its commitment to accountability and safeguarding. Staff participated in awareness sessions on Anti-Fraud, Child Safeguarding, and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA).
Organizational policies were also reviewed, including the Human Resource Policy, Accountability and Feedback Mechanism Guidelines, and IT and Community Guidelines and Policies. Participants further discussed the Organizational Effectiveness Review (OER) and contributed to strategic planning to strengthen the organization’s future direction.
A total of 111 staff members attended the meeting, including 73 men and 38 women, reflecting strong participation and organizational engagement.
The 2026 Annual Meeting reaffirmed KTWG’s commitment to improving education services and strengthening collaboration across all programs.
